No Roll Pie Pastry

Yield: 1 Pie Crust

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all purpose, unbleached flour

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2/3 cup canola or coconut oil

  • 3 tbsp whole milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix the flour, salt and sugar in a 9 inch, deep glass or ceramic pie plate.

  2. Stir together the oil and milk. Pour over the flour mixture. Stir together using a fork.

  3. Press the pie dough into the pie plate and up the sides, leaving enough at the top to go back and crimp the edges.

  4. If you recipe calls for a baked pie shell, prick the bottom and sides with a fork and bake at 475 degrees F for about 8 to 10 minutes.
